FAQ

What does AshPit do?

It cleans leftover tokens out of your Base wallet. Tokens that still have value are swapped to ETH; worthless dust can be burned. You review and sign everything.

Is it non-custodial?

Yes. Your keys never leave your wallet, we never hold your funds, and every transaction must be signed by you. The tool can only execute the actions you explicitly approve.

What does it cost?

There's no upfront cost. We take a fee only from value we recover for you through swaps — 10% under $5, dropping to 1.5% over $100 (see Transparency). Burns are free. You pay the network gas directly, as with any wallet transaction.

What happens when I burn a token?

It's transferred to the dead address (0x000…dEaD) and is gone permanently. Burns can't be undone, so only burn tokens you're sure are worthless. You confirm and sign every burn.

How do you decide what's worthless?

We pull a live price for each token. Tokens with no meaningful value are flagged as burn candidates; tokens that still trade are offered for swapping. Tokens whose value can't be reliably determined are never auto-selected — you'd have to choose them yourself.

Which wallets are supported?

MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, and any WalletConnect-compatible wallet.

Which network does it work on?

Base, for now. Support for more chains is planned.

Is my token actually worthless if it's flagged for burning?

Not necessarily — "burn candidate" means we found little or no tradeable value. If you believe a token has worth, don't burn it. You're always free to keep it.

Is it safe?

The tool is non-custodial and you sign every action. Tokens are screened against GoPlus security data, and tokens with unverified value are never auto-selected for burning. That said, this is new software — review what you're signing, and never burn anything you're not sure about.
